ABOUT TEJON RANCH

High Desert Hunt Club at Tejon

The High Desert Hunt Club at Tejon Ranch is southern California's premier upland bird hunting club. Located about an hour north of Los Angeles and 45 minutes south of Bakersfield, the High Desert Hunt Club offers over 6,400 acres and 35 hunting fields, each field providing different terrain and challenges. Members and guests can enjoy great bird hunting and the comforts of the lodge headquarters, the historic Beale summer home. The season runs from mid-October through March. Hunters new to the club are welcome to hunt one time without a membership to see if they enjoy the experience: we are confident you will leave wanting to become a member. Our dog handlers will accompany you to provide basic instruction and make sure your hunt is fun and safe.

Equestrian at Tejon
Tejon Ranch is home to southern & central California's foremost Equestrian Center & Riding Club. We cater to all Western riding disciplines including cutting, reigning, trail rides and general pleasure riding. Many of our trail rides include overnight stays in cabins and camps on the ranch.

Hunt at Tejon
The Ranch works closely with California's Department of Fish and Game to enhance the balance between wildlife populations through a carefully managed hunting program. As part of its Private Lands Wildlife Management License, the Ranch sets the hunting seasons, the harvest limits, ages of animals to be harvested, and the number of hunting licenses issued.
